Read: 1 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12

Since I’ve been in ministry, God has blessed me with amazing mentors. These men and women have been able to guide me because their experience and wisdom allow them to see further than I can and help me avoid pitfalls I didn’t even know existed.

Do you remember the last time you received advice from someone you trust? Maybe it was a close friend, mentor, or family member. Their words carried weight because you knew they had your best interests at heart. In a similar way, God’s Word is His voice to us, full of wisdom, guidance, and truth. Yet, many people today struggle to believe the Bible is trustworthy. With so many voices and worldviews around us, it’s easy to wonder, “Why should I trust Scripture?”

The Bible itself declares that it is “God-breathed.” This means that, although humans wrote it, the wisdom and instruction it contains come directly from God. Throughout history, the Bible has been meticulously preserved, and its accuracy has been repeatedly affirmed through archaeology, fulfilled prophecy, and historical evidence. Trusting the Bible isn’t about blindly following a book, but recognizing that the Creator of the universe has given us His Word as a guide for life.

When we read the Bible, we’re not just reading old stories; we’re interacting with a living and active truth that speaks directly to our hearts and circumstances. God’s Word has the power to transform us—offering correction when we stray and encouragement when we’re down. It cuts through confusion and gives us clear direction. Trusting the Bible means trusting that God has provided everything we need to live a life that honors Him.
