Introduction: After Jesus’ ascension, the disciples gathered together in Jerusalem to pray and wait for the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began speaking in different languages, proclaiming the good news of Jesus to people from all over the world. This event marks the birth of the Church, as thousands of people were added to the faith that day.
