Read: 1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17
One of my favorite ways I see God at work in my life is through small, perfectly timed moments. Like when I’m struggling with something, wrestling with thoughts I haven’t even said out loud yet, and I get a text from a friend. No big speech, no deep counsel, just a word of encouragement or a simple “thinking of you.” It’s like God is saying, I see you. I’ve got you. Those little moments mean the world to me, and they remind me that worship isn’t always loud, it’s often quiet, faithful, and woven into the ordinary.
It’s easy to think of worship as something that only happens with music and a band on stage. But God sees so much more. Scripture tells us that even the simplest actions, like eating or drinking, can be acts of worship if they’re done with the right heart. That means every part of your life has potential to bring glory to God. Your job, your errands, your conversations, they can all be sacred.
Worship is less about what you’re doing and more about why you’re doing it. It’s about living in a way that reflects who God is. When we approach everyday life with gratitude, integrity, love, and a sense of His presence, even the most mundane things become worship. It’s not about pretending everything is spiritual, it’s about recognizing that everything can be when offered to God.
Think about that friend who texts at just the right time. Or the stranger who holds the door open with a smile. Those small things aren’t just kind gestures, they’re reflections of God’s heart. When we live like that, we carry His presence into the world. Your life doesn’t have to be flashy to be full of worship. When your heart is aligned with His, the ordinary becomes holy.
Reflection Questions:
- Can you recall a small moment that reminded you God was near? How did it affect you?
- What’s something routine or ordinary in your day that you can intentionally offer to God as worship?
- How can you reflect God’s heart in someone else’s life this week, even in a small way?
