Read: Philippians 4:18
A friend of mine once walked across Europe to raise money for clean water projects. In a perfect world, I would have joined him for a small leg of the journey, but that just wasn’t possible. Instead, I was able to buy him a computer so he could share updates about his progress online. I also made the commitment to pray for him throughout his journey. Though I wasn’t physically there, I knew I was part of his mission. And when I saw the impact he made, it was deeply satisfying to know that my support, even from a distance, contributed to something meaningful.
There’s a unique joy in serving God’s kingdom. The Apostle Paul thanked the Philippians for their support, calling it a “fragrant offering.” This reminds us that every gift—whether time, resources, or encouragement—becomes a part of God’s mission to save the world.
The work of missions isn’t just about going; it’s also about giving. Not everyone is called to the mission field, but all of us are invited to participate through prayer, financial support, and encouragement. When we give joyfully, we partner with God in His work and experience the deep satisfaction of knowing we are making a difference. Even the smallest acts—like a kind word or financial gift—become significant when offered to God. These gifts ripple through His kingdom, touching lives in ways we may never see.
