Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
— Romans 12:10

I love this scripture because it encourages us to have a selfless attitude toward others and to be devoted to one another in love. It tells us to put the needs of others before our own and to honor them above ourselves.

Think about the impact this could have on our world. Creating a culture of honor can lead to increased trust, accountability, and respect within an organization or community, resulting in improved communication, cooperation, and overall performance.

But beyond the practical, this kind of attitude reflects the love of Christ in us, and it allows God to work in our lives and the lives of those around us.

Our attitude towards others can greatly impact the people around us and our ability to be used by God. When we have a selfless attitude, we become more like Christ and allow others to see the work of God in us.

Honoring one another above ourselves also means serving one another, putting the needs of others before our own, and helping them in whatever ways we can. This is how Jesus served us, and it is the kind of attitude we are called to have. Let’s strive to be devoted to one another in love and honor one another above ourselves.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us have a Godly attitude, devoted to others in love. Remind us to put the needs of others before our own and to honor them above ourselves. Give us the strength to serve one another, just as Jesus served us. Allow us to reflect your love and grace to the world and to bring glory to your name. In Jesus’s name, amen.
