One of the most fascinating pieces of mass-market home technology in the 1980s was The Clapper. Long before Alexa, The Clapper allowed you to turn your lights on and off by simply clapping your hands, all from the comfort of your chair or bed! At the time, it felt like science fiction brought to life. But today, The Clapper is laughably outdated compared to the smart home technology we use now.
Just like The Clapper, fads come and go, and even the most popular trends eventually fade. But unlike the fleeting things of this world, God’s Word is eternal.
The Bible has stood the test of time. Despite countless efforts to discredit, destroy, or challenge it, Scripture remains a trustworthy foundation for faith. Its truths are as relevant today as they were when first written. Isaiah reminds us that while the world around us may change, God’s Word stands firm forever.
This eternal nature of the Bible offers hope and stability in a constantly shifting world. We can anchor our lives in its teachings, knowing that they will never become obsolete. God’s promises, His commands, and His truths endure and remain unchanging.
