Read: Acts 1:8

I’ve been a pastor for a long time, and there are still moments when I feel nervous about sharing the gospel. I think this is a common experience for many believers. You’re around someone, and suddenly you feel that nudge—an unmistakable prompting to tell them about Jesus. And in that moment, you might find yourself wondering, “Where did that come from?” Even as someone who has shared the gospel many times, those moments remind me that I can’t do this on my own—I need the Spirit’s help.

Jesus promised His followers that they would receive power from the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses. This same Spirit empowers us today, giving us courage and wisdom to share the gospel, even when we feel inadequate.

The task of witnessing can feel daunting, but the Spirit’s presence reassures us that we are not alone. Whether you are speaking to a friend or serving on a mission trip, the Spirit equips you with the words and strength you need.

God doesn’t ask us to be perfect—just available. Trust that the Spirit will guide you as you step out in faith.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How can you rely more on the Holy Spirit in your daily interactions?
  2. When have you experienced the Spirit’s power in your life?
  3. How can you invite the Spirit to guide your witness?
