Nourishing Ourselves with God’s Word

The psalmist beautifully expresses how God’s Word is like a lamp to guide our steps and a treasure to cherish in our hearts. By developing the holy habit of engaging with Scripture, we grow in our understanding of God and His will for our lives.

Just as we need physical nourishment to thrive, our souls require spiritual nourishment. Through regular study and meditation on God’s Word, we feed our spirits, gaining wisdom and discernment for life’s journey. As we hide God’s Word in our hearts, it becomes a source of comfort and strength, empowering us to resist temptation and walk in righteousness.

Let’s commit to cultivating the holy habit of spending time in Scripture daily. Whether it’s reading a chapter, memorizing a verse, or meditating on a psalm, let’s feast on the richness of God’s Word. As we do so, we’ll discover the joy of a deeper relationship with our Creator, and His Word will become a lamp that guides our steps on the path of righteousness.
