Our central ministry focus on this trip is supporting our local partners in their community service. We usually engage in VBS-style activities at different children's homes and provide dental check-ups with our team of dental experts, ensuring a holistic approach to serving the community.
Adam and Kristy Griffith recently marked a decade of ministry in Chiang Mai, Thailand, dedicated to youth homes. They serve the students and their leaders wholeheartedly. Their family, convinced of God's calling, is committed to spreading the gospel in Thailand. Their authenticity, love for the Thai people, and passion for sharing Jesus will inspire you.
We will be staying in Chiang Mai, which is a tourist city. The people are very resistant to conflict so you will likely find the vast majority of them to be very helpful.
Our accommodations in Chiang Mai, such as The Prestige, are usually of high quality. Expect a full breakfast buffet each morning. If you do not like Thai food, consider bringing an alternative lunch option. Please inform the trip leader promptly about dietary restrictions so we can make necessary arrangements to meet your needs.
At Community Life Church, the safety of our participants is a top priority. Be mindful of your environment, and adhere to the designated curfew times communicated by the trip leader. We'll restrict travel to potentially hazardous areas and closely monitor situations that may jeopardize participants' safety. Non-compliance with safety rules may necessitate early departure at the participant's expense.
This trip offers several opportunities for cultural outings, including:
Our ministry welcomes anyone willing to spread Jesus' love. Dental professionals play a crucial role on this trip, but there are various opportunities for non-dental team members. We aim to utilize your skills effectively and appreciate your readiness to serve in any capacity. Translators will assist in communication, ensuring effective interaction and outreach. Flexibility and a helpful attitude are incredibly important for this trip.
Prior to the trip, we'll host several meetings with a spiritual focus. These, along with pre-trip devotionals and readings, aim to prepare team members. We'll discuss understanding your identity in Christ, sharing the Gospel through your story, and deepening your personal relationship with Christ. Embrace the chance to spread the Gospel and share your testimony. We will have a post-trip debrief to reflect on your experiences and what the Lord taught you.
