FAQ

What is Sharing Christmas?

This c|Life ministry helps families in our communities by providing Christmas gifts for the children of these families. Our primary roles as c|Lifers are to give gifts or funds to support the event, assist with preparations leading up to the event, and serve at the event itself. For families in need within our church, please review the question below: “How do people become eligible to receive gifts at Sharing Christmas?”

What if I can't find the job I want at my campus?

Jobs that are full may not be listed on the website. If the job you were looking for is not listed, please choose a different job that has availability. Thank you!

Can my kids help with Sharing Christmas?

Participation in the actual event is dependent on age. Children in 5th grade and under must use childcare. Students in 6th to 8th grade may serve alongside their families and perform the same job as their parent(s). These students are required to stay with their families. Students in 9th to 12th grades may serve as bag carriers and do not have to stay with their families.

We love involving children in Sharing Christmas preparations. Opportunities include:

  • filling bags with stocking stuffers that get sent home by Kids Min or preschool teams
  • picking an ornament off the tree in the lobby and shopping for those items
  • helping sort toys at the Forney Campus in the weeks leading up to Sharing Christmas
  • assisting with setup, if needed
Is childcare available?

All children in 5th grade and under must use the childcare provided. Childcare will be available at the following locations: Forney, Sunnyvale, Kaufman and Canton. Kaufman and Canton childcare will take place offsite, but with c|Life’s childcare team of workers. Families in Rockwall can hire a babysitter and the church will provide reimbursement at $10/hr for the length of the event. Register for childcare here: Sharing Christmas Childcare Registration

How do people become eligible to receive gifts at Sharing Christmas?

Families are recommended by school counselors and staff. If families are not involved with local schools, they can be referred by c|Life staff. If you need assistance, please reach out to your school. If you are homeschooling or your children are not yet in school, please contact us at sharingchristmas@clifec.com to discuss further. All families selected through the school system will take priority. All families referred to us will be contacted and informed whether there is space available or if they are on a waitlist.

If you have any questions, please email us at sharingchristmas@clifec.com.
