The WKND is our version of Disciple Now for students in grades 7–12, hosted by Community Life Church in more than 80 church homes. The worship services and activities at The WKND are designed for students to make memories, build friendships, and learn about Jesus. The WKND will interrupt busy, stressed-out routines, and give students a chance to sit back and evaluate their relationships with God and with others. It’ll be an event they’ll never forget!
Frequently Asked Questions for The WKND 2022
Will students be staying in host homes overnight?
Yes. Small Groups will spend the two nights in the home of one of the students in their Small Group. Host home families are known, background checked and Ministry Safe certified.
When does registration close?
Online registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. You will be able to register at the door as well.
Is there a cell phone policy?
Small Group leaders will monitor cell phone usage and access during The WKND at their discretion. The goal is to allow for an undistracted time for students. If you need regular communication with your student during The WKND, please let your Small Group leaders know.
Will there be a price adjustment if a student can only make it to part of the planned schedule of events for The WKND?
We get requests for partial payment every year, and our policy has always been to keep one price and allow kids to come and go as needed. With hundreds of participants, it is extremely difficult to accommodate price adjustments for every unique scenario. Students who wish to participate in any part of The WKND are required to register as if they were participating in the entire weekend. We understand there are unavoidable conflicts, and students are allowed to be picked up and dropped back off by parents as long as the schedule is communicated and coordinated with the adult leader(s) in charge of their Small Group ahead of time.
What if our family can’t afford the registration price?
If finances are an issue, we will work with families to pay over time. We’d encourage you to share the need with your Small Group, Community Group, or extended family. We also have scholarships available that you can apply for at clifec.com/wkndscholarship.
What if I would like to be Small Group leader at The WKND?
You can apply to be a group leader at clifec.com/wkndleaders.
