Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
— John 20:21 NIV

In this verse we are called to be world changers, just as Jesus was — to go and spread the gospel to every single nation, person and area. I know, however, that sometimes it might be difficult to feel like you are worthy or capable enough to contribute to this call.

For the longest time, I struggled with having the mindset of thinking that there was no way I could be worthy enough to participate in this call. I had done too many bad things and not enough good things. I even found myself thinking that I wasn’t worthy to be on the stage leading worship. What I couldn’t figure out was the simple truth that those things in my past did not matter for the future I was being called into. Because of the debt Christ paid for us on the cross, we now have a new hope and life.

Throughout the Bible, God uses people that definitely don’t seem qualified to further his kingdom. Even in the direct lineage of Jesus you have people with all sorts of bad pasts. This just goes to show the faithfulness of our almighty Lord to allow us to be involved in something we have no business being involved in: God’s kingdom.

Here at c|Life, we believe in the death and resurrection of Christ. He took all of our unworthiness and unrighteousness, and paid for our sins by suffering and dying on the cross. We believe that we have now been made righteous through him and have a new hope that cannot be taken away from us.

Go into this world and be the change that God has called you to be!
